HDC2021: About operation in water

Dear all,

I would like to ask about operation range of HDC2021.

When checking the data sheet, the operating range is described as 0 to 100% as follows.

However, it is stated that 20-80% is the recommended range based on the following conditions, and it is also described as No-condencing.


From the above, is it correct to recognize that the HDC2021 cannot operate underwater?
(Is it the same for other HDC series?)

    Hi Y. Ottey,

    Thank you for your question. You are correct that the HDC2021 is not designed to operate underwater. None of our HDC Family sensors would be able to do this. 

    The HDC2021 and other HDC Family sensors will continue to operate from 0-100% (non-condensing) humidity, but its is recommended to stay within 20%-80% as much as possible.
