IWR6843AOP: How to determine if PMIC_CLKOUT connection to PMIC CLKIN is required

Part Number: IWR6843AOP

We are designing a new PCB with IWR6843AOP and LP87524JRNFR and we are trying to determine if it is necessary or useful to connect the IWR PMIC_CLOUT signal to the PMIC CLKIN input. We will be using firmware based on the TI 3D people tracking solution.

We understand that this clock can be used to synchronize the PMIC switching frequencies to mitigate potential interference, but we see that this connection is not enabled by default in the EVM design.

How do we determine when/if it will become necessary to include this connection on our H/W. Should we provision for this connection incase a need arises later? Could it be required to meet regulatory emissions requirements? Or is it possible that differences between our PCB design and the EVM could result sensing degradation due to interference from PMIC switching noise?

Please provide more guidance on this.

Thanks
