IWR6843AOP: Temperature sensors on EVM and chipset.

Hi,

When reading the document of rlRfTempData, we could find several temperature sensor readings about every channel. However, there are only 1 or 2 temperature sensors on all EVMs,

Does it mean the temperature sensor on EVMs is not for compensating tx gains but just measuring the board's temperate? Are all temperature readings in rlRfTempData reported from internal sensors in the chipset rather than the EVM board?

Tom,

Within IWR6843AOP as you rightly mentioned there are various temperature sensors near Tx, Rx, Digital, Power management circuits. When you read this through rlRfTempData API, temperature sensor data is brought out which are within the SOC.

You are right, temperature on the board is only to get a feel for temperature of the board for various application scenarios. For Tx gain and Rx gain compensations we use the internal temperature sensors.
