AWR1243: AWR1243 Cascade

Part Number: AWR1243

Hi,

In my design, there are nine awr1243 chips. One of them is used as master, the others are slaves. In the process of downloading mirror image, the master is always successful. But
two of 8 slaves fail. Then I changed the SPI work rate from 8MHz to 15MHz, one of the failed two slaves can downoad successfully, But the successful 6 chips of last time failed.
Can you give me some advice? And is there a lot differnce between chips?

  • Hello,

I assume the OSC CLKOUT from the master is providing the reference clock for the 8 slave devices, is that correct?

Before you release the nReset of the slave devices have finished configuring the master device so that the OSC CLKOUT gets enabled and provides clock for all the slave devices? Also Have you used a buffer to fan out the OSC CLKOUT to the slave devices?

    Regards,
    Vivek
