LDC2112: No Press Event

Hello Team,

we use the LDC2112 in one of our projects. Therefore, the LDC2112 is going to detect inductive buttons.

The detection works but we have an issue if we press button very slowly. In this case the LDC2112 did not detect a press event. Furthermore if we press the button in quick succession we also got no press event.

Is this issue known to you?

    Hello Simon,

    Can you tell me a little more about your setup and what you are seeing. Can you quantify "very slowly" for me? It may be an issue with the baseline tracking algorithm or the baseline reset, but I am not sure based on the information you gave. If you are able to, can you send some graphs of the force data for both cases so I could help you better?

    Hello Justin,

    I think we found the problem on our stack. Because the distance between coil on the pcb and the snap dome is more than 100%.

    If we decrease the distance our button is working.
