IWR6843AOP: Elevation angle and the actual tilt of the device

Hello TI,

Been experimenting with this device and I noticed that in the installation guide it is advised to angle the device around 10-15 degrees. But say if I do not do that, and then set the elevation tilt in the GUI to -10 or -20, I still see in the GUI that the beam is formed towards a -20 angle.

Also if I were to tilt the actual device and then put the elevation tilt as -10 it's actually tilted to -20 theoretically is this correct?

What is the correct configuration? Do I tilt the device and then set the elevation tilt to 0?

Please advise.

I see double the angle e.g. real tilt angle + the tilt angle in the software. The gui looks like it's 20 degrees if both of them are 10.

What are you using to measure the tilt angle, and what object are you detecting with the radar when you are measuring this angle?
