Hello ,

i am trying to get the data only in around 10cm distance from radar board , could you share any config or formula which i need to consider to get the data only within 10cm using MMwave studio?

Hello Vanishree,

You can refer gesture application configuration. However to detect object at that smal distance you need to consider removing antenna coupling signature.

There are multiple factors for range reduction/limit:

* reduce the device transmission power using Tx Power Backoff feature in profileConfig

* reduce sampling rate (less than 2msps) and numOfSample captured.

* use max frequceny bandwidth, effectively reduce freqSlop.

* In the processing chain, you can ignore all the objects beyond you defined range boundary.

You can sensing estimator tool as well to get the configuration for given requirement

can i define these for AWR1843? this is from people count demo which is for 1642.

Yes, you need to implement all the CLI command function and the way to consume those CLI data within MSS or DSS. Refer people count demo, as DSS and MSS are same in AWR1843 & AWR1642 so you can reuse most of the code as it is (maintaining required portability).
