TMP117: Usage as a programmed HW temperature limit checker with I2C not used

Part Number: TMP117

Hi All,

I intend to use TMP117 to generate overtemperature alert depending on the pre-programmed EEPROM values. We will program the TMP117 in therm mode with certain limits. Then when it's in use, the I2C interface may not be used. There are pull-ups but the pulled up supply is being enabled by HW_EN signal. Therefore at start-up the I2C interface is pulled low.

As far as I understand the following scheme should work, but could you tell me if it's indeed ok? The TMP117 does not mind its I2C being pulled low and can still generate correct alerts, right?:

Kind regards,

Zeki
