I understand the raw data capture requires high data streaming rate. Therefore, DCA1000EVM is required. But in the lab of vital sign, each frame only has two chirps, which significantly reduces the data to be transferred. Maybe the MMWAVEICBOOST is enough to capture the raw data.

The demo sends the Complex Range-FFT output (i.e. FFT on the raw ADC data without any vital signs processing applied) though the UART from a single RX channel for a single Chirp. Typically this should be enough to test your algorithm.

Is there a reason you cannot use the Complex Range FFT output?

Yes, the complex range profile is good enough for me. Why does each complex range FFT data only has the size of 4 Bytes? Is the data outputted in terms of real and imaginary component?

Since each complex range FFT bin only has the size of 4 bytes, the real and imaginary parts have 2 bytes, respectively. Are they represented by integer or float numbers?
