Hello,

I use a IWR6843AOPEVM and I want to know if it's possible to connect my evaluation module to the mmwave studio software ? Because I already try to do it by connect the breakaway side by micro USB to the my PC and then by connect the AOP module side by a USB charge supply. Also I switched the SOP2 to "on" to have the flashing mode enable. When I am on the interface of mmwave studio, I don't have any device connected.

When I use my EVM on mmwave visualizer demo sdk 2.1, I use the driver of silicon CP210X and it work perfectly. And when I try to use the EVM by the XDS110 it never work (maybe I need to have this last drivers to fix my problem with Mmwave Studio ? )

(I don't use any MMWAVEICBOOST)

Hi Jean, I would highly recommend going through the out-of-box demo first, as many of the issues you are having are addressed in this detailed guide on getting started with your device:

In addition, here are a few things you can do to resolve the specific problems you have run into:

1) The AOPEVM only needs to be connected via micro-USB to a PC. It should be connected on ONLY the side as shown in the image:

There is no need for any connection on the other side of the EVM.

2) Make sure SOP3 is set to "on" for flashing mode (not SOP2 as you have stated):

mmWave studio is intended for use after you have flashed the device, which may be why the software does not show any connected devices. You need to flash the device before it can be used in 'functional mode' to collect data and use the mmWave studio.

3) Only the CP210X driver is needed if you are using the AOPEVM in standalone mode. The XDS110 driver is used when the EVM is being used in conjunction with the MMWAVEICBOOST, which you said you are not using.

In addition, you could use the MMWAVEICBOOST carrier card to connect to mmWaveStudio, and the DCA1000 data capture card for raw data capture. This would be an alternative to using just the AOPEVM in standalone mode:
