IWR6843AOP: Area scanner demo: False positives at close range

Hi,

I have been experimenting with the Area scanner demo provided with the mmWave industrial toolkit. When the person moved too close (<1m) to the device, false positives appeared, i.e.- Instead of the one person, it showed 2-5 moving objects at the same time. Is there any way to overcome this issue? I have been using the "area_scanner_68xx_AOP.cfg" file to configure the device.

Also, how do I disable static objects showing up on the GUI via the same configuration file?

    Hi,

    Please try enabling "Peak Grouping" to see if it helps:

    cfarCfg -1 0 2 8 4 3 0 20 1
    cfarCfg -1 1 0 4 2 3 1 15 1

    Please delete below commands for disabling static object detection:

    % *****************STATIC DETECTION COMMANDS*********************
    heatmapGenCfg -1 1 0 6 50 60.0 3.0 10
    staticDetectionCfg -1 0 -50.0 +50.0 -30.0 20.0 0.7 5.0 0.2 4 20.0
