AWR2243: mmWave Studio and Device Variant

Hello,

I would like to know the device type I am connecting a prior knowledge. mmWave Studio does this after connecting to RS232. How does mmWave Studio get do this? I did not find any hint in the documentation of either mmWave Studio or mmwavelink.

Hello,

The device details are also etched on the EVM silk screen. For decoding that, you could refer to the device datasheet.

mmWave studio reads the effuse registers in the device to know the type.

Thanks for the answer. Where the effuse register is documented? I had a quick look into "Radar Interface Control Document" and did not find anything about it.

Hello Ishita,

I am writing my own application for different TI chip types similar to mmWave Studio. The purpose it to connect to a device and configure it based on its type automatically without human input.
