FDC2214: single ended sensing

Part Number: FDC2214

Hi,

I have been working on FDC2214 EVM board recently, there is a particular question related to the single ended sensor configuration that I have come across and haven't found the exact answers yet in the forum. Please can someone help me?

I did find some thread suggested that the capacitance calculation would be different from the differential one (i.e.Equation (7) from the FDC2214 datasheet) because LC tank is driven by half-sine wave from IN0A and IN0B. The thread is linked here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/489201?FDC2214-the-way-to-calculate-capacitance

My question is, in the Sensing solutions EVM GUI, is the Sensor capacitance calculated simply using the Equation (7) even for the single ended configuration? I have tried to do the capacitance calculation using raw data myself, however, the sensor capacitance didn't seem to agree with the results I've got. But if I use Equation (7), the results seem to match with the GUI sensor capacitance results. I'm a bit confused here which is the right way to go.
