Hi Team,

My customer now use 4*OPT3001-Q1 in their project.

May I ask whether the SCH is ok?

Why ADDR PIN could define the I2S ADDRESS?

As I understand, The ADDR pin is an A/D sample. When the I2C bus is suspended, the SDA/SCL are all high, so the AD sample of the ADDR pin is also high, which is a problem.

Hi Amelie,

From an ADDR pin perspective this is good. They should also check pull up resistor values on i2c lines were checked based on length and number of devices on the bus.

Hi Amelie,

My mistake - I thought all resistors on the addr pin were 0ohm. I’m not sure the reason they used 1k, but the addr pin needs to be shorted to the line rather than with resistor so that is incorrect.

I am very confused about DEVICE I2C ADDRESS.

For example, if I want to setup I2C ADDRESS as 1000 111. It need to connect to SCL.

However,When the I2C bus is suspended, the SDA/SCL are all high, so the AD sample of the ADDR pin is also high. If ADDR is high, it means connect to VDD. the I2C ADDRESS is 1000 101.

That is the reason why I am confused...

Hi Amelie,

The address is determined when the device powers up and it is then latched. The device is able to detect if the pin is connected to SCL or SDA.
