is there a parameter that directly affect the range ?

In order to change the range one needs to modify the chirp configuration.
Details on the concepts behind this are provided in the mmwave training
The following tool allows to experiment with different ranges:

In the Automated Parking Demo the "SUBFRAME_CONF_USRR " configuration is being used
The chirp parameters that must be modified are located in
mmwave_automotive_toolbox_2_9_1\labs\lab0008_automated_parking\src\common\cfg.c
In the function "Cfg_ProfileCfgInitParams()" Profile 1 must be modified.
