Hello,

I have a few questions about your statement about the radar's elevation revolution.In /Industiral Toolbox(4.4.1)/Experiments/Detecting Human Falls and Stance with IWR6843ODS,it says "The ODS antenna provides equal Angle Resolution in Azimuth and Elevation.".In /Industiral Toolbox(4.4.1)/Labs/People Counting/68xx-3D People Counting/User's Guide,it says the elevation resolution is 58 deg.

What is the elevation range and resolution in the /Industiral Toolbox(4.4.1)/Labs/People Counting/68xx-3D People Counting demo?

Please check the Angular resolution of the EVM board used in the demo.

Hi,

The values listed on the 3D People Counting Lab are for the ISK. The ODS has angular resoltion of

29 Degrees Azimuth

29 Degrees Elevation

Hi,Justin,

I have several questions:

1.How should I understand the angle resolution? Does it mean the minimum angle to distinguish them between two people and the radar when they cannot be distinguished by distance?

2.I didn't see the information about distance resolution and angular resolution of ODS,what is the distance resolution of ODS?

Hi,

The angular resolution is the minimum angle difference needed to separate two objects. We also separate objects in range and velocity, which have configurable resolution, and typically much finer resolution.

The range resolution and velocity/doppler resolution of the device is based on the chirp configuration. Best achievable range resolution is about 4 cm.
