HDC1080: Can more than 1 HDC1080 be ganged together in a single I2C Bus?

The application requires to measure the temperature at 2 different points. The MCU we had chosen has only 1 I2C; Is it possible to connect 2 HDC1080 to a single I2C bus? What should be the slave address for 2 diff HDC1080?

The question arises, because it does not have any hardware Slave address pin.

Hi Ponmani,

Thank you for your post. The HDC1080 has only one address available (see section 8.5.1.1 of the datasheet). You would have to use an I2C multiplexer, or a separate I2C channel to have two HDC1080 devices on one bus.

Alternatively, if you could operate at 3.3V or 1.8V you could use the HDC2080, which does have two address options.
