About mmwave sensor method

Hi community member,

I study a various mmwave method.

TI documents are written that TI IWR series is used FMCW(Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave).
I knew FCM(Fast Chirp Modulation) method.
I think that IWR series is used FCM method.

I would like to hear an opinion from TI experts about it.

All mmwave radar device uses FMCW chirp. Can you explain what is the difference between FCM and FMCW?

Thank you for your reply!

I thought that IWRxx series are used FCM method because the chirp can be changed rapidly and be detected relative speed.
But I understood the devices uses FMCW chirp as your comment.
