IWR1642BOOST: Flashing mmwave EVM breaks EVM

Hi,

I have an IWR1642BOOST and in order to use the ROS package, i tried flashing the EVM as per the instructions.

The flashing is success.

But the device doesn't work!!

Tried connecting the device to an Ubuntu machine, but no ttyACM devices were seen.

Could you please help me debug this issue?

Which SDK version you are using to flash the pre-built xwr16xx_mmw_demo.bin?

Hi Arun,

Seem from the uniFlash log you are using SDK 2.1. Since you are using SDK 3.4 visualizer please download SDK 3.4 pre-built binary.

Hi Yogesh,

The ROS README suggests to use SDK 2.1 (even in the latest Industrial tool box).

### Quick start guide (AWR1642BOOST ES2.0 EVM):
1. Mount AWR1642BOOST ES2.0 EVM (as below), connect 5V/2.5A power supply and connect a micro-USB cable to host Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with [ROS Kinetic](http://wiki.ros.org/kinetic).

Note: Tested with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with ROS Kinectic and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with [ROS Melodic](http://wiki.ros.org/melodic)

2. Download SDK 2.0 or above (suggested SDK 2.1) from [here](www.ti.com/.../MMWAVE-SDK) and use [UNIFLASH](www.ti.com/.../UNIFLASH) to flash xwr16xx_mmw_demo.bin to your device. **Do not forget SOP2 jumper when flashing.**

3. Clone this repo and ROS serial onto your `<workspace dir>/src`:

This is the reason for using SDK 2.1.

I will try with a latest SDK.
