Hi, Sir/Madam,

Hope everything is going well.

I am using the AWR1843+DCA1000 to capture the raw radar data via the mmwave studio. The setting up is shown as

and

However, after the received raw data in binary file is transfered to matlab data based on the matlab script in "Mmwave Radar Device ADC Raw Data Capture", the one receiver data is shown as

. Evidently, the complex received samples are inserted by the zeros. Why?

Acutally, I am confused about the number of the LVDS lanes. As is seen in

, I have to choose 1 LVDS lane due to the 1RX channel. But the AWR1843 has two LVDS lanes to transfer the data. What is the difference between them? Hope to get your reply asap. Thanks

There are addtional redundant zeros in the matlab data after reading the received binary file.

Yijiang,

The number of LVDS-enabled lanes is a function of the number of RX-enabled channels. More RX channels means more data to transfer. So in the case where only 1 RX channel is enabled, the LVDS transfer can happen using only a single LVDS lane.

The BSS firmware determines the number of LVDS lanes required.

Use the changes suggested in the other E2E post and your analysis should make more sense.
