AWR1243BOOST: AWR1243Boost

Part Number: AWR1243BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243, AWR1843BOOST, AWR1843

Hi, I have brought AWR1243Boost from your TI community ,but I am unable to see the raw ADC data and the impact of the device . but I have found that its need a external controller to interface with it (DCA100/TWS1400), but its really a cost effective, when we pay for both the board, but I found some RX/TX interface and flash memory in the AWR1243Boost , can you help me to see the raw data in Oscilloscope(PWM), so I can interface with another controller , which I have used for our project.  I need the AWR1243Boost for Object detection on the vehicle , Once I got the PWM I can control it with my Board , if that possible .

  • Hi

As you mentioned AWR1243 requires a host to work with. It needs to receive messages through SPI before it is functional. So, it is not possible to use AWR1243BOOST without a host.

We usually recommend AWR1843BOOST for easy evaluation because the processing is performed on the DSP integrated in the device. We also provide several demos on these devices.

    thank you

    Cesar

  • In Awr1243Boost, for what purpose the "TM4C129NCPDT Microcontroller has been used ,...?

  • Hello,

The TM4C129NCPDT is used for internal development purpose on the AWR1243BOOST. For control you need external host processor which can received the raw data over CSI/LVDs interface and process it.

As Cesar suggested , if you want an embedded application to process the data instead of an external host processor then you can use awr1843. You can then develop your own application running on internal MCU to generate signals (like PWM) based on the objects detected.

    Regards,
