AWR2243: Does Uniflash 6.1.0 support AWR2243?

Hi there,

I'm trying to use Uniflash 6.1.0 to program the SFLASH connected to an AWR2243 on a custom board. The custom board was originally designed for the AWR1243p. I'm attempting to program the SFLASH with xwr22xx_metaImage.bin from mmwave_dfp_02_01_05_03. I'm following the same procedure that worked for us on other boards where we populated AWR1243p instead (except I'm selecting AWR2243 in the "Choose your Device" section). SOP[2:0] is set to 101. Here is the log from Uniflash when I attempt to load the meta image:

Any thoughts on what might be going wrong here? Is the procedure different when you're using Uniflash with an AWR2243 part? Or does Uniflash 6.1.0 not support these parts yet?

Hi,

I checked with the team and any recent version of Uniflash could be used to flash AWR2243BOOST.

Can you try to select AWR1243 platform in uniflash?

Are you using the same Uniflash version as what was used for the board populated with AWR1243?

Hi Cesar,

I'm not using the same Uniflash version as we programmed the AWR1243s with. We used 4.6.0 for the AWR1243s, and I've been trying to use 6.1.0 for the AWR2243s. I will see if 6.1.0 works for the AWR1243s. I don't have access to my test setup this week, but I'll try it next week and let you know what I find.

I'm having the same issue and selecting 1243 does not work, as the device type in the metaImages don't match the 1243 identifier.

Hi Neil,

I forgot to follow-up on this, but selecting AWR1243 for the device type did end up working for me. That was with Uniflash 6.1.0 and xwr22xx_metaImage.bin from mmwave_dfp_02_01_05_03.

Ah, I was attempting to flash the RSS and Master SS images from the firmware folder of the DFP. It's not clear to me what the difference is, but I'll give it a shot.
