AWR1843BOOST: MCAN and DCAN simultaneously

Hello,

I have a simple question. I would like to confirm that DCAN and MCAN can be used simultaneously without interference. According to my understanding of the reference manual and swra606, the answer is, yes, they can be active simultaneously on separate networks.

Meaning, if DCAN is connected to a CAN bus transmitting and receiving data, and MCAN is connected to a separate CANFD bus transmitting and receiving data, can DCAN and MCAN (CANFD) both be transmitting and receiving messages at the same time without issues?

Hello Erik,

Yes, both of the interfaces can be used simultaneously without any interference.

Note that on AWR1843BOOST only one CAN be used due to hardware limitation but if you are building your own board then AWR1843 sensor is capable of both interfaces together.
