IWR6843AOPEVM: Executing "68xx AoP_ODS - Multiple Gesture and Motion Detection" in a small cabinet -- Duty < 10 to pass the FCC Waiver Order DA 18-1308

Part Number: IWR6843AOPEVM

Hello,

Is there a gesture sample code which could pass the FCC Waiver Order DA 18-1308 ?

https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DA-18-1308A1.pdf

The FCC Waiver would be for Google soli. The page-4 tells a brief spec:

  • Output power: +10dBm
  • Peak EIRP: +13dBm
  • Peak power spectral density (PSD): +13dBm/MHz
  • Duty cycle: 10% = 3.3ms/33ms

We would like to build a small demo kit which passes the FCC Waiver Order DA 18-1308 (equivalent Japanese certification) and execute TI's default gesture sample code.

Then, we know that TI has a gesture sample code in the industrial toolbox.

(C:\ti\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_3_2\labs\gesture_recognition\68xx_multi_gesture_and_motion_det\prebuilt_binaries\aop\multi_gesture_demo_68xx_aop.bin)

But the SWRA672 page 16 tells the sample code duty cycle is approx 25%. The sample code as-is doesn't pass the FCC.

Could you please advise if TI has a sample code which could pass the FCC ?

For example, the 25% sample code can be modified to duty=10% when we edit some constant, symbol, or a build option.

Thank you very much.
