TDC7201: How to achieve 0.25 ns in combined mode? how to get mode 1 result data?

Dear ,

1.How to achieve 0.25 ns in combined mode? Is this must use both TDC in mode1 and 16M clock?

I just want to comfirm this informaiton. Does this 0.25 ns need other condition?

2.I tried to use Mode 1 but data get from TDC7201 is 0x00. when I change to Mode2 the result is correct.

So where am I wrong? Do you have any example for Mode 1? Can mode 1 use single shot ?

Responding to your questions:

1) Yes, you can use MODE 1 and a 16MHz clock to enable the the 0.25ns minimum time capture in combined mode.

2) Did you connect the START1 and START2 pins to each other? Please follow to instructions of the Short Time Measurement Using TDC7201 app report and example to serve as a guide to properly enable the 0.25ns measurement.
