OPT3001: IR signals rejection capability

Hello,

We are plan to use OPT3001 part for day / night switching. Part will placed in such a environment , where IR signal maybe there.

As mentioned in part datasheet, Part has a inbuilt passive filter. Does they have ability of complete rejecting the IR signals?

Which IR wavelength filter can reject?

Hum much % of IR signals filter can block the IR signal and up to which incidence angle?

What is the wavelength in question? Exact rejection will depend on the wavelength.

In built filter of ambient light sensor should reject the 750nm to 950nm wavelength.

In practical case, during the testing of part, how much % of incident IR signal get rejected by filter upto which degree???

Hi Yash,

For OPT3001 we only spec in the datasheet for 0 degrees incident. However, I would suggest OPT3004, which specs through +/-85 degrees. You can refer to the infrared response spec in the characteristics table and Figure 3. Spectral Response vs Wavelength from 85° to -85° in 10° Steps Normalized to each Angle of Incidence
