IWR6843: Cumulative People Counting Method

Hi community member,

I saw your people counting demo for Industiral toolbox.
I know that the "people count" on demo display the number of people at that moment.
I would like to know how to display the cumulative number of people for a period.

Suppose the every 2 people pass in front of mmwave sensor every 10 seconds.

People count : 2 (at that moment)
Cumulative count : 12 (after 60 seconds)

Is there how mmwave sensor to calculate a cumulative count?

Hello,

The people counting demo sends out the coordianates of the person/object, you can use this information to build the required count on the receiving device

you can implement this in the devices transmit code.

Please see the output data format details of the demo to parse this data from device uart stream.

Hello

Have you had a chance to look at TLV definition for the Uart Data out for People Counting demo.

It shows the Track information per person and that can be used to get the data you are looking for.
