MMWCAS-RF-EVM: TI cascaded sensor boards: unable to streaming the raw data through WinSCP

Part Number: MMWCAS-RF-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243, MMWCAS-DSP-EVM

Hi,

I was testing the 4-chip AWR1243 cascaded radar boards including RF board and DSP board. I was running with the MIMO data capture demo in mmWave Studio.

I can successfully configure the radar and trigger the measurement. But I can not streaming the raw data to a local PC. Below is the error message I got when I tried to streaming the data through WinSCP.

[16:54:45] Starting Transfer files using WinSCP..
[16:54:47] Downloading file /mnt/ssd/Cascade_Capture_BF/master_0000_data.bin...
[16:54:48] Error downloading file /mnt/ssd/Cascade_Capture_BF/master_0000_data.bin from SSD: Incorrect MAC received on packet
[16:54:48] Copying file 'master_0000_data.bin' fatally failed.
[16:54:48] Copying files from remote side failed.
[16:54:48] Downloading file /mnt/ssd/Cascade_Capture_BF/master_0000_idx.bin...
[16:54:48] [RadarAPI]: Error: Session has unexpectedly closed
[16:54:48] Transferring files FAILED!
[16:54:48]
[16:54:48] ***Script completed successfully.***

Could anyone give me some idea on what's going on there?

Thank you,

Weite

  • Hi,

The cascade team will review your question.

In the meantime, it looks like the MAC address is not correct.

Is this something you have configured?

    Thank you

    Cesar

  • Hi Cesar,

I do not think I have done anything to the MAC address. What I have done is just following the mmWave Studio Cascade User's Guide and doing the data capture demo using the Lua scripts.

    Thank you,

    Weite

  • Hi Weite,

Have you had any luck getting this to work?

Can you log into the UART terminal hosted by the EVM and verify that the files are being stored in the /mnt/ssd/ folder? Just want to make sure the data is really there.

Can you check if the relevant ports are open on your host PC? Are you directly cabled to the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM Ethernet port?

mmWave Studio transfers the files from the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM SSD through a WinSCP session. Can you try to manually log into the SSH/SCP server the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM hosts and see if you can move the files? There might be some OS permission restrictions on mmWave Studio or on the SSH/SCP ports used.

In Windows I typically use the terminal program Terra Term to log into the SSH server on the EVM? Can you try to move the files with that or a similar tool?

    Thank you,
