MMWCAS-RF-EVM: TxBf capture file missing from mmwave studio 2G

Hi,
I'm trying to evaluate TxBF on AWR2243 Cascade. Following the cascade userguide provided in the docs(picture below) it shows to open the file "cascade_TxBF_dataCapture.m" in “<mmWaveStudio Installation>\mmWaveStudio\MatlabExamples\4chip_cascade_TxBF_example\”

But when I follow the path given above, all I see is this.

Where to find the file specified in the path? And how to capture data using TxBF?

Hello Asher,

Which version of mmWave Studio are you using?

I recommend you download the latest one, i.e. mmWave Studio 03_00_00_14 and check its package contents.

Hi Ishita, the version I'm using is mmwave_studio_03_00_00_07

The website doesn't say that it released a new version. Also, requesting the exe file from the web gives me this error.

The following link works perfectly fine for me : https://software-dl.ti.com/ra-processors/esd/MMWAVE-STUDIO-2G/latest/index_FDS.html

Can you try opening that on a different browser maybe? Many users on this forum were also successfully able to download the latest version from the website.

Hi Ishita,

As you can see in the screenshot, the link you provided is the same as the one I used.

Using this in Chrome/Edge gave me the same result.

Hello Asher,

Are you logged in to ti.com when trying this? And I'm guessing you are able to atleast access this page : https://www.ti.com/tool/MMWAVE-STUDIO

I tried from a different machine as well and it again works. So I guess you have some firewall which is blocking that page. It might help after clearing the cache or you could try on a different machine.

Yes, I'm logged in and I see the same thing when I try using a different machine/different network.

UPDATE: So after a while the error went away, and I was able to download 3.0.0.14

There are files inside there that I need. Thank you
