Hi all,

I use MMWCAS-RF-EVM+MMWCAS-DSP-EVM in mmWave studio capture ADC raw data，I found that the first frame of the raw data I got would have a data exception，We want to know what causes this anomaly？

Hello Andy,

This is a known limitation in the cascade scenario, as specified in Section 3.3.1 of mmWave_studio_release_notes.pdf (mmWave studio 03_00_00_14) :

"The first frame may be corrupted in every capture. It is recommended to ignore the first frame for all captures."

This is a software limitation only, it has nothing to do with mmWave-RF or DSP EVM.

Hi Ishita,

Since our own RF board will also have the same data problem in other frames, we would like to find out the specific reason for the abnormality in the first frame of TI's RF board, which will be helpful for us to check our existing problems, thank you.

Hello Andy,

As I mentioned previously, this is not a problem with TI's RF board, it's just a software limitation from our side. The mmWave-RF-EVM and mmWave-DSP-EVM does not contribute to this and hence even if you make your own RF board, it all depends on how you implement the top level functioning.
