IWR1443: Exact timing of the TX radiation

Part Number: IWR1443

Hi Team,

My customer wants to get the exact timing of the TX radiation in order to get the exact position of the object to be measured.
Are there any registers, GPIOs, etc. that can be used to obtain accurate TX radiation timing?

Regards,

Takashi Onawa

  • Hello Takashi-san,

You could refer to the below Chip timing, There is a parameter "Tx start time" user can use this parameter to start the chirp transmission w.r.t to chirp waveform.

Tx start time could be controlled with 10ns of resolution, as shown below.

This time could be controlled through API please refer to mmWave SDK user guide for more information.

    Thanks and regards,

  • Hello Takashi-san,

Wanted to follow up on this thread. You could also use Trigger mechanism to "trigger" a Radar chirping pulse.

You could use any rising edge trigger pulse on a GPIO and use a interrupt handler to trigger a radar frame from the Application frame work.

    Thanks and regards,
