TMP102: setup time issue

Hi Sir,

the customer found lower than spec problem during I2C set up time measure.

the measured value is 152n sec, spec min is the 160n sec.

can TMP102 accept this result?

Dear Tommy -

Its not clear here from the image what exactly you are measuring here, but it is clear that you might want to measure from 30% of SDA (VIL) to 70% of SCL (VIH) line.

Hi Josh,

thanks for your reply, is there any risk if the setup time is less than spec 160ns?

Tommy -

They would break with the I2C spec if that was the case. I would encourage the customer here to either use MCU/MPU/Controller that follows I2C spec. TI and many other companies make such devices from them to choose from.
