Under what circumstances or factors does the failure occur?

What kind of failure mode is expected in case of failure? Short, open, etc.

    Hi user6084247,

    Section 6.1 of the TMP102 datasheet contains the Absolute Max Ratings that describe safe voltage levels and temperatures. Stresses above these ratings can cause permanent damage to the device and extended exposure may degrade reliability. However, there is no expected or specified failure mode in these cases.
