Hi,

I have tried to understand the relation in the PostProc between the FFT and the points designated as object. In the FFT I see some peaks, which are not translated into points in the detection plot, sometimes there is a smaller peak and the point appears. Could you please tell me which is the relation between the FFT and the detection plot?

I tried to reproduce the issue.

I attach a screenshot of the best reproduction I could get. Some times I have even obtained even bigger differences. For instance, now, there is a peak at 6 m in the FFT, but the software will not show a point at 6m. In addition, when doing several measurements, the FFT peak could be bigger than in a previous test, but the software would not show a point (Unfortunately I could not reproduce this)

Hi,

The detection is based on a CFAR algorithm. If you are not familiar with CFAR algorithms it may be helpful to search on the web. There are many tutorials.

Basically, this algorithm uses a threshold to decide if a peak is detected or not. In the snapshot above, the threshold is such as only the first peak at 2m is detected.
