HDC2022: a few questions about this new device.

Hi Team,

My customer want to use this device in their new design, below are their questions.

1. they can only supply this device with 3.3V, but our datasheet show a 1.8V power supply and most SPEC is under 1.8V. They want to know what SPEC may be different under 3.3V power supply

2. Which reference design do we recommend？and how to get this PCB and schematic file? They'd like to closely follow the design。

Hi Yue,

There are no alternative specifications or graphs in the HDC2022 datasheet at 3.3 V, but in section 6.5 – Electrical Characteristics, RH_PSRRand TEMP_PSRRillustrate how accuracy changes with supply voltage.

There are reference designs that use the HDC2010 and include the layout and schematic files, and any software will be the same for the HDC2022. Here is an example reference design.

Are you sure HDC2022 can fully follow HDC2010 design ? That will be great. I can ask my customer fully copy HDC2010 design, just mount HDC2022.

Hi Yue,

The HDC2010 and HDC2022 are not pin-to-pin compatible, so there would need to be changes made to the design. However, the TI designs can be used as a reference and would be a good starting place.
