Gadget position sensor

Hi,

our customer is in search for a economical solution for a gadget posistion sensor, that senses 2 positions: the gadget is in standing or in laying positions. What can we suggest?

  • Dmitry,

Thank you for your post. We have a few questions:

    1. Is there any more information available on the customer's application?
    2. For example, what material will the gadget be made of, and what are its dimensions?
    3. Are there constraints on the gadget's positioning?
    4. Will the standing and lying positions always be the same from case-to-case, or will there some random positioning to consider?
    5. What kind of surface will the gadget be laying or standing on?
    6. Does the customer have any requirements for the power supplies?

Thank you again for your interest.

    Regards,
    John

  • John,

there is no exact spec, just some general ideas.

Material is plastic, the dimensions are about 15 cm high and 7x7 cm base. There could be 4 laying positions (on ether 4 lateral surfaces). The surface, where gadet may stand is a table (wood). There are no spec for power supply (could be powerd from battery).

  • Dmitry,

    Thank you for the info.
Are there any constraints on the type or positions of the sensors that can be used?

    Regards,
    John
