Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, MMWAVEICBOOST
I'm sure this will turn out to be some basic error - but I've been trying for a few hours and can't figure out how to flash the demo software to my IWR6843ISK device. Here's what I've done:
- Installed the mmwave SDK and UniFlash
- Connected the IWR6843ISK to the MMWAVEICBOOST board
- Ensured there are jumpers on the SOP0 and SOP2 pins (the board also came with jumpers across some other pins - I've left them as-is)
- Connected the USB micro-B port on the IWR6843ISK to my computer
- After that, I've tried connecting another USB micro-B cord from my computer to the "FTDI-USB" port on the MMWAVEICBOOST and just connecting the 2.1mm power jack without connecting the MMWAVEICBOOST to my computer
- I pull up the device manager on Windows, but instead of seeing a port labelled "XDS110 Class Application/User UART", I see "Silicon Labs Dual CP2105 USB to UART Bridge: Enhanced COM Port (COM4)".
- Open UniFlash, go to "Settings and Utilities", enter "COM4" as my port.
- Go back into "Program" in UniFlash, and for Meta Image 1, select <sdk folder>\packages\ti\demo\xwr68xx\mmw\xwr68xx_mmw_demo.bin
- Hit "Load Image"
The result is that it hangs for a minute on "Opening COM port COM4", then tells me "Image Loading Failed: Unable to Connect to Serial Port". In the log, it says "Initial response from the device was not received. Please power cycle device before re-flashing". So I've tried unplugging/re-plugging, hitting the SW2/RESET switch on the MMWAVEICBOOST at various times during this process - same outcome. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?
