IWR6843AOP: What value is the maximum output power(dBm)?

Hi community member,

What value is the maximum output power(dBm) of IWR6843AoP?
I checked the datasheet written by 5.7 RF Specification(P.29).

It is 15dBm by Single transmitter output power EIRP

But it is also written by antenna design in industrial toolbox as below:
The IWR6843AOPEVM includes four receivers and three transmitters. It operates at 4-Ghz bandwidth from 60 to 64 GHz, with a maximum output power of 12 dBm and a maximum antenna gain of about 5.2 dBi around 60 GHz.

Is it difference between IWR6843AOP and IWR6843AOPEVM?

The information on the TIREX page needs to be updated.15dBm listed in the datasheet is the correct TX EIRP Value.

Thank you for your reply.
I understand 12dBm in Industiral Toolbox is mistake and 15dBm is the correct value for IWR6843AOP.

BTW, when txOutPower value is 0, is IWR6843AoP output power 15dBm because TX backoff is none?

Hi,

I guess you are referring to back-off of the txOutPower value is 0, This means there is no back-off of the output power is done, hence full power is transmitted. And you could specify how many dB power back-off needed from the full power that much power is reduced from the max power 15dBm EIRP.
