PGA460-Q1: Sensor recommendation in order to measure the distance 50mm

Hi all,

I would like to get any recommendation in order to measure the distance of 50mm with PGA460-Q1 or any other automotive-qualified ultrasonic sensor analog front ends. Can you tell me? Any ideas of combination of the TI AFE + sensor are helpful.

Hello Ryo,

The measurement of 50 mm can certainly depend on several factors like the frequency of the transducer selection medium of measurement and drive voltage and also how we drive the transducer.

Here is a reference to some example of measuring 5 cm with PGA460.

In general a single mono static transducer can present challenges in measuring near 50 mm and for that we would need a bistatic transducers that can measure here.
