PGA400 8051 ADC resolution

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA302, PGA300, PGA305

Hello,

I was planning to make a magnetic detection sensor with the PGA400.
However, I found out that the PGA400 is no longer being produced.
So, with the PGA302, I want to make it similar to the PGA400.

During development, I have a question.
What is the ADC resolution of 8051MCU of PGA400 in bit?

Is the resolution of ADC1 16bit and the resolution of ADC2 10bit?

I am wondering how to handle 16bit ADC in 8051MCU.

Thanks.

  • Hello Seok,

In the PGA400 ADC1 is a 16 bit ADC and ADC2 is a 10 bit ADC. As you have noticed we tend to recommend the newer PGA302, PGA300, or PGA305 instead of the PGA400. The PGA302 has a single 16 bit ADC that is MUXed between two different inputs sets of inputs each with their own PGA gain stages.

    Regards,
