Hi ,
1) Noise floor tilts by increasing RxGAIN from 30dB to 48dB
Please refer to the attached jpg files
1_RxGAIN30dB_hand_close_toRadar_profileConfig_HPF_0_0.jpg
and
2_RxGAIN48dB_hand_close_toRadar_profileConfig_HPF_0_0.jpg
1st one, RxGAIN30dB_hand_close_toRadar_profileConfig_HPF_0_0.jpg, is the result of 2DFFT when
the hand approaches the rader with the configuration “profileConfig HPF 0 0, RxGAIN30dB”
2nd one, RxGAIN48dB_hand_close_toRadar_profileConfig_HPF_0_0.jpg, is the result of 2DFFT when
the hand approaches the rader with the configuration “profileConfig HPF 0 0, RxGAIN48dB”
If RXGAIN is changed from 30dB to 48dB then the power of noise floor decreased as the distance increases.
The version of SDK is SDKv3.1.
They would like to know the reason why the power of noise floor decreased.
2) Noise floor is changed by the type of objects (e.g. the hand or metal ) that approach the radar
Please refer to the attached jpg files
2_RxGAIN30dB_hand_close_toRadar_profileConfig_HPF_0_0.jpg
and
3_RxGAIN48dB_metal_close_toRadar_profileConfig_HPF_0_0.jpg
2nd one, 3.RxGAIN48dB_metal_close_toRadar_profileConfig_HPF_0_0.jpg, is the result of 2DFFT when
the metal approaches the rader with the configuration “profileConfig HPF 0 0, RxGAIN48dB”
Is it possible to confirm on DemoVisualizer if the power is increased or saturated at ADC?
3) How to lower the noise floor at long distances when metal is brought closer to the radar
Please refer to
3_RxGAIN48dB_metal_close_toRadar_profileConfig_HPF_0_0.jpg
and
4_RxGAIN48dB_metal_close_toRadar_profileConfig_HPF_3_3.jpg
The noise floor at long distance doesn’t decrease even if HPF changes from 0 0 to 3 3.
How to decrease it?
4) How to change the 2DFFT output of DemoVisualizer to something other than Zero Doppler
I want to display the velocity component on the display of DemoVisuzalizer.
Is it possible to display other than the Zero Doppler?
Thanks and Best regards,
HaTa.
