IWR6843: Can I flash a image whose size is greater than 512KB in Meta Image4 - Uniflash ?

Can we put a specific memory offset in SBL (ex : 0x00150000U) .For this offset will the SBL flash in that given memory location? Does any changes in Uniflash needs to be done?

1. If i change the SBL Backup Image offset from 0x00100000U to 0x00150000U and if i flash in metaimage 3 via Uni-flash, will the backup image will be stored in the new address ?

2. Can i extend the 2MB Flash memory? (From software side)

Hi Shankar,

1) Yes,  if you change  SBL_BACKUP_IMAGE_OFFSET to 0x100000, the back-up image will be loaded from this address. For this to work you will need to flash back-up image @meta image 3. This is what I explained in my previous post.

2) Not sure what you are referring to extending memory beyond 2MB from software side. Do you mean using 4MB physical flash memory. The device boot cannot map more than 2MB. So you will need to use secondary boot loader application code to move the memory beyond 2MB to SRAM.
