MMWCAS-DSP-EVM: The post-processing results of the same set of data are inconsistent

Part Number: MMWCAS-DSP-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWCAS-RF-EVM

Hello TI team

I used MMWCAS-RF-EVM and MMWCAS-DSP-EVM to detect and collect echo data in the test area yesterday, the figure  is the postproc result at the scene.

But today, I use mmwavestudio process the same data and get the difference result

What is teh reason for the difference?

Which result should I believe?

  • Hi,

Since the data was captured on different days there could be differences in temperature especially if data is captured outside.

However at similar temperatures you should see similar behavior.

There may be minor differences but you should see similar results.

    Thank you

    cesar

  • Instead of collecting data twice, I used postproc of mmwavestudio  to process the unique data twice.

In the first result, I only use mmwavestudio.

In the last result, I load the capture data to the empty GUI according to the manual

  • So,

    If I understand correctly

    • captured the data one time
    • you loaded the data to mmwave studio first time and you observed the results
    • you loaded the data to mmwave studio second time and you observed the results
    • The results you observed the first time and second time are not the same

    Is this correct?

I don't think this is possible since the matlab scripts and data have not changed.

    Thank you

    Cesar

  • I will close this thread since there is no additional follow up

    thank you
