AWR1843: How to using AWR1843 to detect the car far from 200m?

Thank you very much! But I still have a few questions.

1. I'd rename the 'mrr_config_chirp_design_MRR220.h' to 'mrr_config_chirp_design_MRR120.h', and replace the file at <lab0007_medium_range_radar\src\common>, after that, using CCS to build 'xwr18xx_mrr_demo.bin' and flash into AWR1843 Board.
Are these steps correct?

2. I compared the 'mrr_config_chirp_design_MRR220.h' and 'mrr_config_chirp_design_MRR120.h' and found that only had change the PROFILE_MRR_FREQ_SLOPE_MHZ_PER_US   from (4.0f) to (3.0f), is that enough to increase the Rmax to 220m? Or how should I evaluate it is enough or not?

Hi Cesar,

Could you tell me why I use the equation( Dmax = Fs * c / 2S)

Assume Fs = 5Msps, C=3e8 m/s, S=4 or 3 MHz/us

The calculate Dmax will be 187.5m or 250m, they are not same as the file description 120m or 220m. 

Could you explain why?

And why the Fs using 5Msps, but not AWR1843 max complex sampling rate 12.5Msps ?

Please read the value for Fs and S in the file. These are the values you need to use to compute Dmax
