CCS/AWR1843: Issue when adding XDC tools to empty project

Whenever I add XDC tools to an empty project (in CCS 9 and 10, in Linux) I get a strange error:

It doesn't let me leave the page I am on to explore the other settings pages.  Also, it's doesn't always happen for the Resource tab, it also gets stuck in the General tab.

What is going on?

    Hi Ryan,

    I tried this with CCS 10.1.1 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and I didn't run into any issues. What exact steps did you take to add XDCtools to the empty project?

    What I did:

    -Create a new (empty) project for AWR1843 (Cortex-R)

    -Open the project properties and under 'General', in the 'Products' tab, I used the "Add" button to add XDCtools 3.6.1.2.27. Then I applied the changes. It appeared successful

    Hi Ki,

    I was able to find a solution to the problem.  The way I 'added' xdc tools to the project was copy and pasting a .cfg file into the project directory, which prompted me with this:

    Upon checking yes, and entering the project properties window, the error message comes up "List of Platforms my have changed. Please select of specify the Platform."

    This makes it impossible to navigate to other tabs in the properties window.  So, I have to navigate to the desired tab of the properties window in a non broken CCS project in order to access that tab on the broken project.

    I was finally able to get the issue to disappear by following the steps indicated in the answer to this question:
