IWR1642: Radars for infrastructure in China

I heard that Chinese government is considering to prohibit 76GHz and 77GHz band radars for infrastructure.

It seems that this subject is under discussion and not yet determined, and there will be no prohibition for in-vehicle radars.

I would appreciate it if you would let me know any information about the future outlook of infrastructure radars in China.

    Hello

    We would recommend you to  check with local regulation specific to the country of requirements as these change over time.

    TI's mmWave devices have offering that spans 77Ghz as well as 60Ghz (68xx ) frequency band. These devices are pin to pin compatible and allow users to reuse/port the software and algorithm from one band to other.  This should enable you to develop the application on either of the bands and then provide the felxibility to switch if the need be.
