TMP422: TMP422 for a NPN application

Hi,

For TMP422 SPEC there only PNP application,

Does there have an application for use NPN? Could you help to check the customer schematic for NPN application? thanks.

    Hi Rock,

    Thank you for your post. 

    The TMP422 can be used with NPN transistors, and they are using them correctly (in a diode connected configuration).

    Please note for them that in layout they should place their filtering capacitors as close as possible to the TMP422 for best results, and they may have to end up having to adjust their series resistance values since these are application specific. For reference, the TMP422 datasheet recommends 50Ω on each input, but they are well within limits using 1kΩ.
