Is there a way to use the reflected signal of the IWR6843ISK-ODS to construct a scene?
This concept is similar to using LiDAR point clouds to obtain 3D surface models.

Hi,
Could you please provide more details. Are you planning to create 3D mapping using SLAM?
Thanks
Yogesh
I want to use the point cloud formed by the radar (IWR6843ISK-ODS) to try whether it can be accumulated to build a 3D map. The realization method may use fixed-point radar or mobile radar (SLAM principle) to collect point clouds. But I only have a half-baked idea,so I want to ask the experts first if it is possible to achieve.
Hi,
You can refer to autonomous lab that uses SLAM using ROS visualizer to collect point cloud data:

Are you planning to mount senor in over-head position?
Thanks
Yogesh
Thank you for your help.
This lab does not seem to support IWR6843ISK-ODS, is it not used because of its poor angle resolution?
Yes. I'm planning to mount the sensor on the ceiling.
You can run the autonomous lab with IWR6843ISK-ODS in wall mount position. We have not tested with ceiling mount.
Quick questions:
1) Is you sensor stationary?
2) What's the angular resolution required.
Thanks
Yogesh
