Hi Gareth,

Do you need to read the RPM of the fan for drive the fan speed? If you just need to read the fan speed then the LM96080 will work.

If what you mean by "smart fan" is a 3 or 4-wire fan with PWM input and need to drive the fan speed than please see LM96000.
