AWR2243: Support status of Radar SDK

Hi Team,

According to the following thread. Team mentioned that the Processer SDK does not fully support AWR2243, is it still the same now?
Are there any Updates regarding the official support plan for AWR2243?

I understood that it is possible to utilize Rader SDK with AWR2243 using following some code modification processes though, Is my understanding correct?

1. Download latest DFP for AWR2243Download latest DFP for AWR2243 and install it.

2. Copy xwr22xx_metaImage.h at C:\ti\mmwave_dfp_02_01_05_03\firmware to C:\PROCESSOR_SDK_RADAR_03_08\ti_components\radar\mmwave_dfp_01_02_00_00\firmware
3. Modified bspdrv_ar12xx.c and bspdrv_ar12xxFmwPriv.c at C:\PROCESSOR_SDK_RADAR_03_08\ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_10_04_05\packages\ti\drv\vps\src\devices\radar_ar12xx\src.
4. Modify code at C:\PROCESSOR_SDK_RADAR_03_08\vision_sdk\apps\src\rtos\radar\src\alg_plugins\alg_fxns\radardspcascademimo\radarDspCascadeMimo.c for MIMO demo.

Hello Takashi-San,

Yes, your understanding is correct. It is possible to utilize Processor SDK for Radar with the above code modifications you mentioned.

Just make sure you use the correct DFP package with the AWR2243 cascade EVM (based on ES1.0 or ES1.1 Silicon).

Thanks for your prompt response on this.

My customer has ES1.0 version of cascade board so they should use Rev. 02_02_00_03.

Then, I had quick question, Do they need to change the DFP as below in "b" point?

[My understanding about DFP version]
ES1.0(Rev. 02_02_00_03)：software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html
ES1.1(Rev. 02_02_02_01)：software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html
